Guidelines for Papers

Instructions for preparation of papers


Papers for the Symposium may be written in English or in Croatian. All instructions for writing papers are in the paper template SA2022_paper_template. An electronic record of the Proceedings will be distributed to the participants who will pay Symposium fee.

WE KINDLY ASK AUTHORS TO FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS AND USE ATTACHED TEMPLATE FOR PAPER SUBMISSION. PAPERS NOT PREPARED ACCORDING TO THE INSTRUCTIONS AND IN THE ATTACHED TEMPLATE WILL BE RETURNED TO THE AUTHORS.

  • Paper length, including text, tables, graphs, fi gures (title, abstract, keywords in English and Croatian) should not exceed 5 pages, A-4 format. Plenary lectures should not be longer than 10 pages.
  • Authors are advised to make the maximum of the off ered 5 pages, which will contribute to the quality of the paper and the Proceedings.
  • Papers should contain: title, list of authors (in one line), authors’ addresses (1 line for each address), abstract, keywords, introduction, material and methods, results and discussion, conclusions, references)
  • Full names and surnames of authors are written without titles. If all authors are not from the same institution, this should be marked by superscripts. Only for the contact person, E-mail should be added to the full address. As the Symposium has an international character, names of countries should be added to the addresses.
  • Abstracts contain the aim of the paper, essential research results and a brief conclusion. The authors are advised to make their abstracts short (700 characters, including spaces). Not more than fi ve keywords should be given, separated by commas.
  • Papers will be reviewed by at least two reviewers from relevant fi elds.

Designation and submission of papers

Files with paper should bear the section code and the author’s surname (e.g. 1Surname) and should be sent to the e-mail address: sa@fazos.hr. If one author submits more than one paper, a number is added to the surname (1Surname1, 1Surname2). Please prepare your papers according to the instructions, and submit them before the deadline so that they can be included in the program and Proceedings of the Symposium.
